Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 15, 2026
The Winstonee (“we,” “us”) operates https://thewinstonee.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, contact us at inquiries@thewinstonee.com.
What this policy covers
This policy covers the Site — our articles, videos, newsletter, free downloads, contact form, comments, community forum, and The Curl Audit, our paid written hair consultation. Curl Audit payments are processed by Stonee Hair LLC through Stripe.
Some of our content lives on third-party platforms: our YouTube channel, our podcast, and any storefront where we sell digital products (such as Shopify). Your interactions there — comments, subscriptions, listens, purchases — are visible to those platforms and governed by their own privacy policies.
Information we collect
Contact details: your name, email address, and message when you use our contact form or email us.
Newsletter and free downloads: your email address when you sign up for hair tips (for example, through the signup form on our Site or to download a free guide). Our email list is powered by Mailchimp.
Comments: when you comment on a post, we collect the name, email address, and website you provide. Your name and comment are displayed publicly; your email address is not.
Community forum: if you register, we collect your username, email address, and any profile information you add. Anything you post in the forum is public.
Curl Audit intake: your answers about your hair — hair category, length and treatment history, current routine, products, goals, and budget — plus up to 3 optional photos of your hair.
Payment details: processed securely by Stripe. We receive payment confirmation, the amount, and your email address. We never see or store your card number.
Usage data and cookies: we use cookies and analytics to understand how the Site is used — pages visited, browser type, device identifiers, and time spent. This includes Google Analytics (via Site Kit), WP Statistics on our own hosting, and cookies set by WordPress itself, embedded YouTube videos and social media content, and Google reCAPTCHA, which protects our forms from spam.
How we use your information
- To deliver your Curl Audit report (within 72 hours of your intake submission) and your included 7 days of follow-up questions.
- To send you the newsletter and free guides you signed up for.
- To respond to your messages and comments.
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Site and our content.
- To protect the Site from spam, fraud, and abuse.
Email marketing
If you join our email list, we’ll send you hair tips, new content, and occasional offers. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. We never add Curl Audit customers to the marketing list without your separate permission.
Your Curl Audit data, specifically
The Curl Audit provides personalized cosmetic haircare guidance based on the information you submit. It is not a medical diagnosis or treatment service.
Your photos are used only to prepare your audit. They are never shared publicly and never used in marketing without your separate, explicit permission.
Photos are deleted 90 days after your 7-day follow-up period ends — sooner if you ask us to delete them. Email inquiries@thewinstonee.com to request deletion.
We do not sell your personal information.
Your rights and choices
You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing inquiries@thewinstonee.com. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in the email. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect how the Site works.
Data retention
We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes described here — for example, to deliver a service you purchased or to comply with legal obligations. Curl Audit photos follow the 90-day deletion schedule described above.
Service providers
We use trusted third-party providers to run the Site: Tally (intake forms), Stripe (payment processing), Gmail (email), Mailchimp (newsletter), Google Analytics and Site Kit (analytics), Google reCAPTCHA (spam protection), YouTube (embedded video), WPForms (contact forms), and our web hosting provider. These providers access your information only to perform their services on our behalf.
Legal disclosure
We may disclose your information where required by law, to protect our rights or property, to prevent wrongdoing connected with the Site, or to protect the personal safety of users or the public.
Data security
We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s privacy
Our Site and services are intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version takes effect when posted on this page, with the effective date revised above. We encourage you to review it periodically.
